After months of anticipation, the Academy Awards finally returned to Los Angeles on Sunday night and gave us another red carpet to remember. Hollywood’s biggest stars were on top of their fashion game at this year’s Oscars, and we’re bringing you ten red carpet looks that stole the show.

Head-to-toe metallic looks were going stronger than ever at the Oscars, and some of the night’s best looks came in shimmering bright shades. Anya Taylor-Joy and Lupita Nyong’o opted for show-stopping icy dresses, while Zendaya rocked our world in her pink gown with silver palm-tree pattern.

Speaking of pink, we’ve seen several more stars bringing the Barbiecore vibes to the red carpet. America Ferrera was shining as bright as ever in her glittery Atelier Versace dress, while Ariana Grande hit the red carpet in the voluminous Giambattista Valli gown.

Several stars took the vintage approach to the red carpet dressing and pulled their red carpet looks straight from the archives. Carey Mulligan wore an archival 1950s Balenciaga gown, while Anya Taylor-Joy’s custom Dior gown paid homage to the brand’s iconic Junon dress.

Edgy black gowns and dresses with mermaid vibes and structured details were also going strong at this year’s Oscars, and some of them were even worn by the night’s best-dressed stars.

Another spectacular Oscars ceremony is behind us, and it was certainly one for the books! The red carpet at this year’s Academy Awards was truly top-notch, and it brought some pretty interesting fashion trends and red carpet looks our way.

The eponymous red carpet actually changed the color to champagne for the first time in history, and many stars welcomed the change by wearing gowns in neutral colors. White dresses were all the rage at this year’s Oscars, and the list of stars embracing this trend includes everyone from Michelle Yeoh and Tems to Halle Berry and Mindy Kaling.

This year’s Oscars didn’t lack black dresses, either, but our favorite stars managed to put a twist on this trend. Jessica Chastain and Nicole Kidman added some silver to the mix, while Cate Blanchett and Janelle Monae opted for vibrant shades of blue and orange.

The sea of ruffles and tulle overtook the champagne carpet. Florence Pugh’s gown almost matched the carpet, while Cara Delevingne, Angela Bassett, and Fan Bing Bin put their own spin on this trend.

This year’s Academy Awards also marked the rise of exposed corsets, and we’re expecting to see more of them after Lady Gaga, Mindy Kaling, Halle Bailey, and Zoe Saldana put them on the map.

Check out some of the most-talked-about looks from this year’s Academy Awards, and see if your favorites made the cut.

Angela Bassett in Moschino

Cara Delevingne in Elie Saab

Jessica Chastain in Gucci

Janelle Monae in Vera Wang

Halle Bailey in Dolce & Gabbana

Malala Yousafzai in Ralph Lauren

Michelle Yeoh in Dior

Fan Bing Bing in Tony Ward

Florence Pugh in Valentino

The Academy Awards has one of the most highly-anticipated red carpet events of the year, and the Sunday night ceremony certainly delivered. Its low-key format didn’t stop Hollywood A-listers from rocking our world with their fashion choices, and here are some of our favorite looks.

Carey Mulligan

Several stars attending the ceremony gave us Oscar trophy vibes with their golden looks, and Mulligan was leading the way in the Valentino ensemble with a long skirt and bandeau top.

Regina King

King wasn’t one of the nominees at this year’s Oscars, but that didn’t stop her from stealing the show in her pale blue Louis Vuitton gown with crystal embroidery and structured shoulders.

Zendaya

Zendaya looked like a ray of sunshine in a neon yellow Valentino strapless gown with cutout details. She finished the look with over $6 million worth of Bulgari jewels around her neck.

Maria Bakalova

Maria Bakalova looked positively bridal at the Oscars in a classy Louis Vuitton gown. The dress itself was quite simple, but a beautiful selection of Moussaieff jewels ended up stealing the show.

H.E.R.

H.E.R. deserves a shout-out for her Oscar look for trying something completely different. Her Prince-inspired purple Dundas jumpsuit featured a hooded cape and embellished lyrics, and it was truly a sight to behold.
