]]>Angelina Jolie’s red carpet appearances are few and far between, but they’re always worth the wait. That was certainly the case with the astonishing Tamara Ralph number she wore while promoting Pablo Larraín’s Maria, in which she plays Greek opera singer Maria Callas.
Jolie’s dress was a love letter to Old Hollywood and Callas herself since her gold rose-shaped Cartier brooch encrusted with diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, and rubies once belonged to Callas herself. Her chiffon gown in a light beige hue was equally stunning, and she paired it with a dramatic faux fur by Tamara Ralph.
Jolie also wore two Saint Laurent looks while promoting Maria in Venice, including the floor-length black gown from the official photo call, which she paired with another brooch from Callas’ personal collection.
This only marks the start of the promo tour for Maria, and we’re expecting Jolie to deliver many more stunning red carpet looks. After all, she receives an 8-minute standing ovation and a lot of Oscar buzz in Venice for her performance in this biopic.

The tea-length dress complete with shimmering silver tiers showed off Jolie’s slender silhouette. She also accented the ensemble with matching silver drop earrings and chrome-esque pumps. The beauty wore her hair in a simple half-up half-down style indicating that she’s still a big fan of a minimalistic look.
Jolie was accompanied to the premiere by her children Maddox and Zahara, who were equally well-dressed. Maddox donned a chic all-black suit while Zahara opted for a mature floor-length black dress with lace lining. Maddox flew all the way to Japan to be with his mother after starting school at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea just a couple weeks prior.
