Though balayage is often perceived as a summer trend, stylists are making it work for fall and winter as well. It’s been around for a few years, but, it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. It’s a great choice for many different lengths and hairstyles and looks equally great on straight and curly hair.

Dimension is built in sessions.. 8 months ago I highlighted Emmy’s virgin hair which created a subtle result since there weren’t any previous highlights, four months later I brightened it up even more which created more contrast since we had highlights from the last session, this past week I added rich depth back in and only painted highlights where I wanted more of a pop! This session created the most variation of tones. Something to keep in mind if you’re starting off with more of a solid hair color?? I unfortunately can’t take credit for her gorgeous haircut but between that and the richness of this color- she was definitely giving me some serious hair envy! Though balayage is often perceived as a summer trend, stylists are making it work for fall and winter as well. It’s been around for a few years, but, it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. It’s a great choice for many different lengths and hairstyles and looks equally great on straight and curly hair.

The caramel mocha look was created by Caitlin Dugan, a stylist from Connecticut. She shares the looks she creates in her salon Gloss Color on Instagram, where she has nearly 50k followers. Dimension is built in sessions.. 8 months ago I highlighted Emmy’s virgin hair which created a subtle result since there weren’t any previous highlights, four months later I brightened it up even more which created more contrast since we had highlights from the last session, this past week I added rich depth back in and only painted highlights where I wanted more of a pop! This session created the most variation of tones. Something to keep in mind if you’re starting off with more of a solid hair color?? I unfortunately can’t take credit for her gorgeous haircut but between that and the richness of this color- she was definitely giving me some serious hair envy! Who loves warmth as much as I do?!??‍♀ . . .
