New York Fashion Week took an unexpected and utterly delightful turn this year! Designers Susan Alexandra and Rachel Antonoff joined forces to present a unique runway show featuring four-legged models. The event, aptly named “Best in Show”, combined fashion, canine cuteness, and comedy in a way that had the audience grinning from ear to ear.

Held at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, the show transformed the venue into a whimsical wonderland. The runway was graced by a parade of adorable shelter dogs, each accompanied by a notable figure from New York’s creative scene. Comedians, actors, and influencers strutted alongside their furry companions, all decked out in playful designs from both Alexandra and Antonoff.

The canine models sported Susan Alexandra’s signature beaded accessories, including colorful leashes and collars. There were even some miniature versions of Rachel Antonoff’s quirky prints. Human models complemented their four-legged partners with Antonoff’s latest ready-to-wear pieces, creating a harmonious blend of fun and fashion.

Adding to the event’s charm was the comedic commentary provided by hosts Kate Berlant and Jacqueline Novak, with actress Bridget Everett serving as the esteemed judge. Beyond the fashion and fun, the event served a heartwarming purpose. All the canine models were available for adoption through local animal shelters.
