A surprising trend emerged on the Emmy’s red carpet this year, one that we saw many times throughout the night, red and pink dresses. Many celebrities appeared to be wearing the same outfit this time around, but each dress had slightly different details – some had puff-sleeves and others had capes. They all had one thing in common – they were all the same shades of pink and red.

It’s up to you to decide which star wore it best.

Mandy Moore

This was our favorite take on the trend. The This is Us star wore a pink and red Brandon Maxwell puffy off the shoulder dress with a high side slit.

Susan Kelechi Watson

Moore’s This is Us costar also decided to follow the trend; Watson wore a similar red and pink form-fitting dress by designer Christian Siriano, which featured puffy off the shoulder silk sleeves. We are left thinking that maybe these two planned on twinning.

Taraji P. Henson

Henson wore another pink and red dress by designer Vera Wang that featured a sheer cape design.

Marisa Tomei

Tomei’s dress by designer Ralph & Russo was a slightly brighter take on the pink and red combo and it featured a one-shoulder detail.

Zoe Kazan

Kazan’s Gucci dress was an ode to the ’80s with huge shoulder pads and a giant bow. Her dress also gave us another color to look at besides pink and red.
