There are a whole range of different variations of this color that are very easy to pull off. This is definitely not a subtle change, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it.
One of the best ways to pull off magenta hair is by mixing it with other colors. This hairdo above proves that magenta, green, yellow and purple work so well together.
So my client came in with about 3 inches in new growth and prelightened ends, wanting a change. I started by lifting her natural level 6 base with a #mydentity Big9 creme lightener mixed 1:1 1/2 ratio with 10 volume in the front, 20 volume in the back. She lifted up to a level 10 after 30 minutes of processing. Once she was lifted evenly all over I washed out her hair and brought her back over to my chair for coloring. I used #Mydentity Superpower Direct Dye shades Magenta Magic and Crimson Spell to create this color. I applied the Crimson Spell just at her root and nape area to create depth for the Magenta Magic. The rest of her hair I coated with Magenta Magic and processed for 15 minutes prior to rinsing. To style I primed the hair with @olaplex No. 6 bond smoother mixed with @guytang_mydentity myhairlube oil and blow dried them into her hair. Styled with a 1 inch straightener spraying mystardust shine spray in between each section and finishing with mycontrol hairspray to shape the curls and tame flyaways. Here is the final result!
