Minogue’s makeup line was a long time coming, but she had to postpone its launch due to a legal battle with Kylie Jenner, who tried to trademark the name in 2014. The Australian singer made it clear she had nothing against the young reality star and only wanted to avoid confusion.

“Trademark is long, it’s boring, it’s expensive, and it’s really important. I’ve been doing that for years and years. It was just causing confusion with customers. As long as it’s clear, then we can all win,” said Kylie Minogue in an interview with Rolling Stone.

This trademark battle is long behind them, and both Minogue and Jenner are thriving in their respective fields, so they really both won.
