]]>According to TheRealReal (online second-hand goods retailer), in the first half of 2019, searches for “mini bags” increased 544% over previous years. That’s huge! Some of the most desired shrunken items include Gucci’s mini suede Dionysus purse, Jacquemus’ Le Chiquito bag, Chloé’s C bag, Prada’s Sidonie shoulder bag, and Louis Vuitton’s Palm Springs and Lockme mini backpacks.
Why the trend toward smaller and smaller bags? Either the universe is playing a prank on those of us who like to be both stylish and practical or, it’s just another case of “cuter is better.” Whatever the cause, we’re not necessarily for or against it, as long as the bag is still big enough for the essentials: phone, wallet, keys, chapstick. Boom.

]]>Miuccia Prada, head designer of Prada and the founder of its subsidiary Miu Miu, broke the news in an official press release and explained why they decided to take this important step towards building a better world.
“The Prada Group is committed to innovation and social responsibility, and our fur-free policy is an extension of that engagement. Focusing on innovative materials will allow the company to explore new boundaries of creative design, while meeting the demand for ethical products.”
Joh Vinding, chairman of the Fur Free Alliance, praised Prada and Miu Miu for joining a growing group of fur-free brands that are responding to consumers’ changing attitudes towards animals.
Both brands will unveil their fur-free collection in September, and it will present their spring/summer 2020 line.
