Going red is not an easy decision for ladies. Let us make things simpler, by introducing a new trend that will take your breath away. Terracotta hair is the perfect blend of orange, red, hazelnut, yellow, and brown. If your first thought is that you actually need a transformation for summer, it’s the ideal timing to try this hue.

All ladies who are already convinced to try this trend should keep in mind that it comes in many variations. You can choose the exact shade, and even opt for techniques such as balayage or ombre to achieve the look. The most important thing is that it’s a very flattering hair color that literally compliments all skin tones and eye colors.

When it comes to taking care of your terracotta hair, it’s pretty much the same with any other color. To keep it vibrant and fresh you will need to do regular touch-ups. Color-protecting products will also be your best friend in not only protecting the hue but also making it shiny and vivid. It doesn’t matter how long your hair is, the type, texture, or cut, this is a trend any woman can try. Red is the new black after all.

Red hair looks fantastic and wonderfully vibrant when it is first done. The trouble is that red hair is also notorious for fading and just a few weeks after your first dye, you might find your hair looking a little more orange and dry than you would like. Here are some tips for making that radiant fiery look last longer.

Wash hair with cold water

It is actually better for your hair to wash with cold water anyway. Hot water on red hair is a real no-no if you want to prolong the color washing away.

Dry Shampoo

Every time you get your hair wet, the color will wash out a little bit more. The more you can get away with not washing your hair, the better. If your hair is prone to getting greasy, you can use dry shampoo as a solution.

Washout hair dye or a colour rince

If it is still a while before you are due to redo your roots but your hair is looking a little faded, a wash out dye can give your color a lift. A color rinse will also bring back some of that shininess you got on day one after dying.

Wear a hat

UV rays are the enemy of red hair. Try to keep it out the sun if you want to keep your color bright.

Avoid Swimming (or wear a cap!)

Chlorine is even worse than UV rays and tap water. Avoid like the plague.

Deep Condition

To keep your hair looking vibrant, deep condition once a week. Use products for dyed hair when possible.
