The Met Gala is often referred to as “fashion’s biggest night”, and it lived up to its nickname this year. The dress code “The Garden of Time” proved to be a great source of inspiration, and it’s given us some pretty amazing red carpet looks by Zendaya, Tyla, Taylor Russell, and more.

The dress code “The Garden of Time” marked the arrival of many floral outfits, and we’ve seen countless stars bring flower power to the red carpet. Zendaya couldn’t resist this trend, along with Gigi Hadid, Sydney Sweeney, Demi Moore, and Nicki Minaj.

Sheer dresses were also having a moment at the Met Gala, most likely as a way of evoking the sands of time. Tyla did the best job embracing this trend in her Balmain dress, which looked like it was made of sand, and she even hit the red carpet with an hourglass in hand.

Metallic dresses with shimmering details were going stronger than ever this year, and we’ve seen everyone from Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez to Anok Yai and Janelle Monáe give this trend their seal of approval.

Several stars also served gothic vibes with their edgy looks, and we can thank Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Kendall Jenner, Zendaya, and Bad Bunny for making us fall in love with this trend. These were our favorite looks from the night.

Tyla in Balmain

Zendaya in Maison Margiela & Givenchy

Gigi Hadid in Thom Browne

Kim Kardashian in Maison Margiela

Mindy Kaling in Gaurav Gupta

Janelle Monáe in Vera Wang

Cardi B in Windowsen

Hollywood introduced us to many rising stars in the past few months and some of them impressed us with both their acting abilities and impeccable fashion sense. Here are three stars who stole the show at each red carpet event they’ve attended recently.

Simone Ashley

Ashley rose to prominence while starring in S-x Education, but the role in Bridgerton earlier this year propelled her to widespread recognition. We’ve seen her attend countless red-carpet events since, from Met Gala to Venice Film Festival, serving understated elegance with a modern twist each time.

Taylor Russell

Russell is currently busy promoting her breakout role in Bones & All, and if she’s capable of making fashion mistakes—we’re yet to see it. From a dramatic corseted Schiaparelli look in London to a vibrant green Balenciaga gown in Venice, Russell makes sure to stand out with each red carpet appearance.

Emily Carey

Carey rose to prominence playing young Alicent on House of the Dragon, but she caught our eye long before this series came out.
