Tyla’s star is still on the rise, but she’s already given us several iconic red carpet looks to remember. The young Grammy winner joined forces with everyone from Versace to Balmain, and we’re bringing you her most memorable red carpet looks to date.

GQ Men of the Year Party

Tyla paid homage to her breakout hit “Water” and cemented her status as a style star on the rise at GQ’s Men of the Year party last year. She made a huge fashion statement in a blue dress by Di Petsa, that gave off the illusion of being drenched in water.

2024 Grammy Awards

Tyla won the inaugural Grammy Award for the best African music performance after walking the red carpet in an asymmetrical cutout chiffon Versace gown in a gentle shade of green.

2024 Met Gala

The South African singer made her Met Gala debut this year, and she immediately entered the best dressed list. Her sculptural Balmain dress designed by Olivier Rousteing looked like it was made entirely of sand, and she even paired it with an hourglass handbag.

2024 BET Awards

Tyla was also among the best dressed at this year’s BET Awards, and her vintage Versace gown featured stud embellishments, an open-back, cutout halter neckline, and animal print lining.

Metallic dresses with shimmering details were going stronger than ever this year, and we’ve seen everyone from Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez to Anok Yai and Janelle Monáe give this trend their seal of approval.

Several stars also served gothic vibes with their edgy looks, and we can thank Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Kendall Jenner, Zendaya, and Bad Bunny for making us fall in love with this trend. These were our favorite looks from the night.
