Vintage, archival looks will probably have a moment, as well, since the Costume Institute’s new exhibition aims to explore the cyclical themes of rebirth and renewal in fashion by displaying 250 garments and accessories spanning four centuries of fashion history.
Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour will return as the Met Gala’s co-chair, and she’ll be in pretty good company this time around. After taking the Met Gala carpet by storm on several occasions, Zendaya was finally invited to serve as one of the chairs, alongside Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez, and Chris Hemsworth.
The Met Gala traditionally takes place on the first Monday of May, and it will return to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City on May 6.
