]]>Head-to-toe metallic looks were going stronger than ever at the Oscars, and some of the night’s best looks came in shimmering bright shades. Anya Taylor-Joy and Lupita Nyong’o opted for show-stopping icy dresses, while Zendaya rocked our world in her pink gown with silver palm-tree pattern.
Speaking of pink, we’ve seen several more stars bringing the Barbiecore vibes to the red carpet. America Ferrera was shining as bright as ever in her glittery Atelier Versace dress, while Ariana Grande hit the red carpet in the voluminous Giambattista Valli gown.
Several stars took the vintage approach to the red carpet dressing and pulled their red carpet looks straight from the archives. Carey Mulligan wore an archival 1950s Balenciaga gown, while Anya Taylor-Joy’s custom Dior gown paid homage to the brand’s iconic Junon dress.
Edgy black gowns and dresses with mermaid vibes and structured details were also going strong at this year’s Oscars, and some of them were even worn by the night’s best-dressed stars.

]]>Many of our favorite costumes this year were rooted in the late 90s and early 2000s nostalgia, and we’ve seen many stars dress up as movie characters from these eras. Hailey Bieber transformed into every main character from Mean Girls, while Kim Kardashian put her twist on Clueless alongside her daughter North West.
The Kardashians weren’t the only ones impressing us with amazing matching costumes. Riverdale stars Camila Mendes, Madeline Petsch, and Lili Reinhart gave us another amazing matching costume as the Gotham City Sirens, while Ariana Grande and her Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies dressed up as their favorite characters from Showgirls.
Costumes inspired by famous musicians were also having a moment this Halloween. Paris Hilton gave us two as Britney Spears and Katy Perry, and so did Halle Bailey, who dressed up as both Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston.

]]>According to its official website, R.E.M. Beauty “was created to empower you with the tools you need to bring your most vivid, limitless, and creative dreams to life” and it features products that “blend otherworldly ideas with real-world innovation to inspire you to explore what creativity means to you.”
The first collection called “Ultraviolet” features a total of 12 products, divided into three categories—face, lips, and eyes. The face collection features highlighters in 10 different shades, while the lip line comes with lipsticks, lip glosses, and lip stain markers. The eye collection is the most versatile and it comes with everything from eyeshadows and eyeliners to mascaras and fake lashes.
“Ultraviolet” collection comes in futuristic packaging. Grande wanted everyone who uses it to be able to “travel through space and time to a world of cosmic illusions and futuristic lust”. We’re yet to see if this will be a permanent design and if other collections will follow suit.
After months of teasing its drop, Grande finally launched R.E.M. Beauty on November 12th. All the products are available for purchase on the brand’s official website, and the prices range between $15 and $24.

]]>Grande is following the footsteps of fellow hit-makers Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Halsey by launching her own beauty brand, but this is no news to her fans. The rumors of its launch have been flying around all the way since 2019, when she filed for a trademark for beauty and skincare products, under the title “Thank U, Next”.
Grande apparently opted for a different title along the way, since she’s currently busy teasing the cosmetics brand called R.E.M. Beauty. It’s named after the song “R.E.M.”, featured on her fourth studio album Sweetener, and she described it as a song about “dreaming someone into your life”.
R.E.M. Beauty could potentially feature concealers, lash serums, eyeshadows, eyeliners, lipsticks, highlighters, and hair extensions, but not much is known about its release at the moment. In addition to launching an official website and Instagram page, Grande also teased the brand with several billboards across NYC’s Times Square, but they simply state that R.E.M. is “coming soon”.

The atrocity has even been featured on the catwalk and been photographed on fashion icons and models alike.
The latest Croc convert? None other than Ariana Grande. The pop star Instagrammed a photo of her herself wearing a rather frumpy outfit altogether, and having the audacity to top it off with some crisp white crocs and crew socks. She did manage to bring some class to the ensemble by topping it off with a designer satchel, but still, she isn’t wearing pants (*shrugs*). Even though we may disagree on our sense of street style, we still love you Ariana!

]]>Ariana Grande teased perfume’s drop by posting a series of photos of Instagram, that show her posing in a pink bra, matching skirt, and a pair of fluffy pumps. Needless to say, she was rocking her signature high ponytail, and also put a couple of her favorite tattoos on full display.
The package perfectly reflects the main them of her smash hit “Thank U, Next”, and it shows a perfume bottle emerging from a broken heart. All of the promotional photos were followed by the coconut emoji, but it’s been said that the fragrance actually features top notes of pear, pink grapefruit, and raspberry.
We’ll have to wait until August 18th to know for sure, since that’s the date when this highly-anticipated product hits Ulta stores. Grande’s “Thank U, Next” trademark also covers a wide range of other beauty products, and we’re still hoping for another amazing launch.
