Lily James has been the face of Burberry for years, so it’s not surprising to see her rocking their dresses on the red carpet. Let’s take a look at some of her very best.

Black and White

Lily James made her Met Gala debut in 2017 when she hit the red carpet in a white Burberry gown with an oversized bow on the back and a matching black choker.

Dazzling Moment

The Baby Driver star delivered one of her most dazzling red carpet moments to date with this icy blue gown at the Vogue Foundation Dinner in 2017.

Big Night

Several of James’ films were in the running for BAFTA Awards in 2018, and she attended the ceremony in voluminous Burberry gown with a statement belt.

Back to Black

The British actress delivered another memorable Burberry look at the London premiere of Darkest Hour. She attended this event in a black column gown with a bow-embellished strap.

Velvet Fever

Lily James rocked Burberry dresses in many different colors, but this velvet number with geometric details makes it clear why black is her favorite.

London is finally making a name for itself, in terms of Fashion Week that is. The city with a historically lackluster cluster of catwalks deemed itself worthy of being in “the Big Four” this month with its designers ditching their typically stuffy, British air, and focusing on creativity, heritage, and politics.

At London Fashion Week 2019, British designers were sure that they were having their last fashion week while still part of the European Union. However, here we are arriving at 2020 with that decision still up in the air. The politics surrounding the move seem to have had a major impact on the collections that came out, with designers like the Irish-Chinese Simone Rocha building their line around proud heritages -and, what Brexit will mean for the Irish border. Even the iconic Burberry ditched their famous cross-hatch pattern and dug deep into the brand’s history to find inspiration from its Victorian origins.

Touching on women’s rights, Turkish designer Bora Aksu created his line as an homage to the Persian princess Taj Saltneh from the early 20th century who was a pioneering feminist.

The shows were overall extremely progressive, focusing on inclusivity and diversity in many ways. The future of fashion is here!

Burberry’s debut “Monogram” collection is here, and it found the perfect model to present it to the world.

Gigi Hadid stars in the latest campaign for this British fashion house, shortly after walking in one of their shows for the first time.

This campaign is a brainchild of the brand’s chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci, and it sees Hadid morphing into several characters, as a way of representing Burberry’s versatility.

“I have always loved and respected Riccardo’s work, and I feel so honored and grateful that he trusted me with this project. The second I heard the creatives for this shoot, I understood how I wanted to bring that to life and show different sides of myself through each character,” said Hadid in an interview with British Vogue.

This campaign marks the launch of the brand’s monogram collection, and it sees the new logo featured on a series of items, including bomber jackets, track pants, and tote bags. The symbol was inspired by the handwriting of Thomas Burberry, who founded this fashion house.

“When I saw an image of his initials, the design felt so special and actually very modern, so I quickly developed it into a new code for the house. It’s a symbol that not only embraces Burberry’s heritage but also feels very contemporary,” explained Riccardo Tisci in a statement.
