The makeup line debuted on Friday and features an array of whimsically mermaid-inspired tones that work best when applied in a watercolor-like fashion. “The new line is made up of high gloss shades, matte liquid lipstick and liner and a Balmain Palette of nine runway—ready eyeshadow shades,” says Rousteing. 

The palette made its debut at the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week this week, where makeup artist Samira Goyette created a beautifully Rainbow Fish-esque look for the models and the equally beautiful clothing collection. The bright pinks, purples, greens, and blues paired perfectly with winged eyeliner and the Kylie x Balmain shiny pink lip gloss.

The billion-dollar beauty brand Kylie Cosmetics has been on a roll when it comes to exciting collaborations. She recently worked with her sisters to drop the Under The Sea Collection which is the things mermaid dreams are made of. Now, the major influencer will be working with Balmain for a new surprise line.

Kylie announced the news via a photo of her and the Balmain Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing. She revealed that the collection will drop during Paris Fashion Week.

“Paris is always a good idea,” she wrote alongside the photo. “Surprise.. KYLIE X BALMAIN @kyliecosmetics collection launching this Friday 9.27…”

Jenner is yet to share any sneak peaks into the new collection. Given Balmain’s status in high fashion, we can assume that the collection will strike the balance between class and glamor.

I guess we will find out on Friday.
