Ocean’s 8 is the movie of the summer. It’s star-studded cast is overwhelmingly fantastic and beautiful. And their fashion statements on the red carpet premiere are inspirational in both the fashion and feminist realms.

Lesson 1: Be Bold

Rihanna’s deep purple, tassel-y dress matched all of her accessories (including her nails) to a T. It is bold and shiny, just like her diamond personality, and exuded elegance and fun.

Lesson 2: It’s OK to dress in your comfort zone

Anne Hathaway wasn’t quiet about her insecurities on the set of Ocean’s 8. Her co-stars were extremely supportive. Hathaway wore a halter dress with a loose skirt, demonstrating that not all dresses need to be form-fitting to be beautiful. Go Anne!!

Lesson 3: Feathers are in

Both Sarah Paulson and Sandra Bullock showed up in feathery dresses. Paulson took the neon route, while Bullock went sparkly. The women pulled off the look well, literally giving us the green-light on feathered looks.
