We’ve all been waiting with bated breath to find out more details about Taylor Swift and Stella McCartney’s collaboration and they’re finally here!
Apparently, the two have been friends for quite a while. Swift says that when she began coming to London to visit her beau, Joe Alwin, she and McCartney spent a lot of time together, revealing, “Stella and I would go on walks, have cocktails, and talk about life.”
Despite this friendship, McCartney was shocked when Swift name-dropped her in one of the songs on her album Lover. The designer told Vogue “I couldn’t believe that my name is in a Taylor Swift song (what?!). After Taylor played me the entire album it gave me such incredible inspiration for the collaboration and it really revolved around the music… What I love is how we really complement each other in what we generate creatively together.”
For online purchase, the duo has created a line of organic cotton tees and pullovers, a sustainably sourced bomber jacket, and an Eco Alter-Nappa leather bag, all inspired by not only Lover, but also vintage T-Swift lyrics and band merch, and her cat, Benjamin Button.
