For those of us who are fans of Bella Hadid’s new blond ‘do (so, everyone) we’ve got great news. The colorist responsible for the model’s lighter tresses, Jenna Perry, has just opened a new salon in the East Village. So, if you’re anywhere near the tri-state area (or even if you’re not) now you can try to book an appointment with Perry for red carpet-worthy looks.
“Hair color is the most important accessory; if it’s really good, you don’t even have to brush your hair,” claims Perry. Not sure if we’re on board with the latter half of that statement but the former is definitely true. We wear our hair everyday so it should probably be the one thing that we splurge on to make sure it looks good. And if you’re going to splurge, you’d better make sure that the artist you’re paying is a good one.
With clients like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the Olsen twins, Martha Hunt, Florence Welch, and Emily DiDonato, we’d say that Perry’s definitely “mastered thoughtful hair color’” which is her own term for taking into account every piece of her clients’ aesthetic before changing their hair. No wonder her waiting list is 4 weeks long!
