]]>Before kicking off his partnership with Chanel, Lamar spent a week in Paris with their team and explored the brand’s history, and this experience inspired him to deepen his collaboration with the French luxury brand.
“I visited the Chanel ateliers and saw the process of how something goes from design to execution. Seeing the people who work hard and bring these visions to life resonates with me. Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind,” Lamar said in a statement to Business of Fashion.
Lamar had several brushes with Chanel long before becoming their brand ambassador. He wore Chanel glasses in the music video for his song “Luther” ft. SZA shortly before announcing his partnership with the brand.
Even though Chanel’s menswear offer is limited, they’ve collaborated with an impressive roster of male ambassadors in the past. Lamar is joining in the ranks of Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams, who were featured in Chanel’s eyewear campaign, and Timothée Chalamet, who’s the face of their “Bleu de Chanel” perfume range.

]]>According to Sara Pollack, VP of global consumer marketing at Pinterest, searches for Coachella experienced a spike in recent months, giving us an early peek into what trends are likely to pop this festival season.
“We’re excited to help festival-goers put a new spin on their identity by exploring and shopping the trends on Pinterest, and to give Coachella fans the opportunity to create an aesthetic all their own at the festival with our stylists and trend experts,” said Pollack in a statement.
This year’s festival season will be all about making a bold statement, blending styles, and remixing popular aesthetics. “Freestyle fits” topped Pinterest’s trend forecast, and they’re mostly inspired by the hip-hop and R&B style of the early 2000s.
“Main pop girl” is also among Pinterest’s top trends, and it’s all about putting a glam twist on your festival apparel. Festival goers will also embrace a darker aesthetic through such trends as “stereo punk”, “dark ethereal”, and “pastel goth”.
“Twee aesthetic” also made the cut and it’s all about dreamy pastels and floral prints, while fans of the western aesthetic can embrace it through the “urban wrangler” trend.

I want to thank my incredible design team and all the employees at Versace that I have had the privilege of working with for over three decades,” she said in a statement.
Vitale is best known for his work as a design director at Miu Miu. He’s been with this brand since 2010, after short stints with Dsquared2 and Bottega Veneta following his graduation from Istituto Marangoni in Milan. Versace said it’s a privilege to join the House of Versace and “contribute to the future growth of Versace and its global impact through [his] vision, expertise, and dedication.”
