Shortly after announcing her collaboration with Valentino Beauty, Charli XCX became the new face of another major brand. The Grammy-nominated singer who made a splash with her album Brat this summer appeared in Acne Studios’ latest campaign after becoming their new ambassador.
Acne Studios is one of the world’s leading luxury streetwear brands, and they found a perfect partner in crime in Charli XCX. The singer’s first campaign with this fashion house sees her posing in the brand’s signature painted denim jeans while holding several of their handbags, including a baby pink Bowling bag and a metallic Multipocket bag.
Jonny Johansson, the creative director of Acne Studios, described Charli XCX as an artist whose values align with their brand due to her ability to bring a new perspective and push boundaries in an authentic way.
“We’re always drawn to personalities and creative energies that are unafraid to explore and challenge the idea of boundaries. What’s fascinating about Charli is how she blurs the lines between underground and mainstream, pulling these worlds together rather than apart, which speaks to me,” said Johansson in a statement.
Charli XCX echoed his words, describing Acne Studios’ clothes as “effortless and cool”. The singer revealed she’s been wearing them while writing and performing her latest album Brat, adding they always made her feel confident.
