Cutout Dresses are Dominating the Red Carpet Right Now

We usually expect Hollywood stars to tone things down on the red carpet once fall arrives, but it seems that’s not going to happen this time around. Cutout dresses are blowing up right now and bringing one of the biggest trends of the early 2000s back into our lives.

Normani

Normani’s MTV VMAs performance of her latest single, Motivation, paid homage to the era when Britney Spears and Beyoncé ruled the charts. That’s probably why she opted for this throwback Nicolas Jebran dress, adorned with a sea of colorful sequins.

Elsa Hosk

Hosk proved to the world that you can look elegant in a cutout dress with this gorgeous Etro gown at the opening of this year’s Venice Film Festival.

Isabeli Fontana

Fontana also embraced this emerging trend in Venice when she hit the red carpet in her bright yellow number by Alberta Ferretti.

Camila Cabello

Cabello is one of the stars responsible for putting cutout dresses on the map, and her all-white Balmain gown at the MTV VMAs is probably the most memorable one on our list.
