French Designer Lou de Bètoly Crochets Couture Clothes and Shoes

French designer Lou de Bètoly, currently living in Berlin, can crochet anything you can imagine. She makes jeans embedded with yarn, asymmetrical miniskirts, and even crocheted boots. Her collection may look completely random, but each piece tells its own story in the most beautiful way.

“I don’t follow a pattern. I’m creating while I am doing,” says de Beètoly. Her mother taught her how to crochet when she was 5. “She showed me different types of techniques on a little square,” the artist remembers. “I was proud of the result but I wasn’t satisfied with the color.”
