Hailey Bieber has been channeling some serious Princess Diana energy that even Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton can’t seem to match. The model recently had a photoshoot with Vogue Paris in which she recreated some of the royal’s most iconic looks.
Most of these are not Diana’s most stylized looks, they’re things that she wore casually to run errands, or when she was perhaps trying to not be photographed by paparazzi. However, these modern interpretations are very chic and very on-trend: mixing athleisure with designer accessories, oversized jackets with shoulder pads, and some very ‘90s cut of jeans. Princess Diana at the Guards Polo Club
In 1988, Lady Di took a stroll through the Polo Club while wearing a British Literature Foundation sweatshirt layered under a pinstripe jacket with shoulder pads, bootcut jeans, cowboy boots, and a baseball cap. Bieber mimics the look, with a few modern updates including a hat with a rounded visor, and darker, more streamlined boots.
Princess Diana’s Workout Attire
During the ‘90s Diana loved to jog in giant sweatshirts, bike shorts, and new balance sneakers with slouchy crew socks. Bieber’s look for Vogue is almost identical but feels a bit more 21st century with leather shorts and sleeker socks.
