Halsey’s new album The Great Impersonator is coming our way later this month, and she’s doing a great job putting it on the map. This album will explore the idea of what her music would sound like during different eras, and she’s promoting its release by creating makeup looks inspired by some of the music’s biggest icons.
The Great Impersonator is hitting the shelves on October 25, and Halsey described the character at its center as “not just a master of disguise but a spirit of transformation”, who’s capable of becoming anyone and anything your heart desires while slipping between the cracks of reality.
She lived up to this description in the promo for her new record, which sees her paying homage to everyone from Dolly Parton and Kate Bush to David Bowie and Amy Lee of Evanescence. She decided to create a series of makeup looks inspired by the iconic photos of these artists, and her uncanny resemblance to these icons blew everyone’s mind.
You can find many incredible makeup looks on Halsey’s Instagram page, and the most impressive thing about them is that she’s a makeup artist behind each one. She worked with a team of costume designers, stylists, hair stylists, and photographers to craft each look, using the makeup of her own brand About Face Beauty.
