Jennifer Lawrence is currently taking a year-long hiatus from the big screen, but her schedule is still jam-packed. The Oscar-winning actress went back to her modeling roots in Dior Cruise 2019 campaign.
The equestrian-inspired photo shoot features Lawrence in several stunning pieces that are feminine, crude and modern at the same time. Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri drew inspiration from Mexican horsewomen known as Escaramuzas. She hoped this collection will evoke their gracious and powerful discipline, and picked Lawrence as the embodiment of liberated femininity they represent.
The young actress can be seen posing in a desert setting alongside a black horse looming in the background, in several striking equestrian-style outfits. Some of the items featured in the photo shoot are petticoats, large leather body belts, floral dresses, tulle skirts, and Dior’s classic saddle and tote bags.
This is not Lawrence’s first ride on the rodeo since she’s been working with the French fashion house since 2012. She partnered up with Dior on multiple fashion and beauty campaigns and even became the face of their first fragrance in almost 20 years.
