Jennifer Lopez Hits the Versace Runway in Recreated Version of the Iconic Green Dress

It’s been almost two decades since Jennifer Lopez made a splash at the Grammys with the iconic green Versace dress that everyone remembers to this day. She took a stroll down memory lane at the recent Versace show in Milan, where she hit the runway in the recreated version of that unforgettable gown.

Everyone’s jaw dropped to the floor when J. Lo appeared on the runway in the reimagined jungle print gown. It wasn’t the same iconic number which made its first red carpet appearance at the 42nd Grammy Awards in 2000, but the audience recognized it in an instant.

This revealing gown went down in history as one of Donatella Versace’s most iconic designs, which made her a household name in the world of fashion. The dress was so iconic that it served as motivation for the creation of Google Images search, because it was the most popular search query that the company had ever seen at the time.

J. Lo has discussed her Versace dress on several occasions and even told Vogue it’s one of the things that many people remember her.

“That was a moment that captured people’s imaginations, I think… In terms of my career, this dress really marked a moment in time. Even if you don’t know my music and you don’t know my movies, people know about that moment and that dress. That was it,” said Jennifer Lopez.
