Celebrities spend so much time on makeup chairs getting ready for various events and Jessica Alba is no different. Between that and launching her own beauty line, Honest Beauty, the actress has picked up many makeup tricks. The one that served her the longest comes from her mother who had a special way of applying mascara that Alba has never forgotten.
Alba explained how she applies mascara in a new interview for Vogue. When she was little, she used to watch her mother apply primer and mascara. “I always use primer, and I like to just blink,” Alba explains. “It gets the product all the way from the base of the lash to the ends.” So simple! After her primer has dried, she applies the mascara. “Mascara is the most important because, at the end of the day, when you’re talking to people, I’m looking at your eyes,” she says. “So I think this is where you should spend a good amount of time, even if you don’t spend too much time on anything else.”
