Puma has made another acquisition within Manchester City.

Towards the beginning of the year, the football team, which is sitting atop the English Premier League table, signed a 10-year deal with the German designer as its kit provider.

The $800 million partnership included the sponsorship of the team’s home and away kit, having taken over from Nike.

The deal came into effect in July 2019, with Puma now having signed a new agreement with Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola.

Under the new contract, Guardiola will act as an overall brand ambassador for Puma, being featured in campaigns, endorsing products both on and off the pitch, as well as providing “technical expertise and knowledge” on future apparel and footwear innovations.

“I demand the highest levels of performance, and I am looking forward to helping shape the future of Puma Football to meet the demands of today’s game,” the club’s coach said.
