Sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy from Rodarte are so innovative that their campaigns are only getting better as time goes by. For Spring 2020, the duo decided to tap a number of amazing women whose names you’ve probably heard before. Gabrielle Union, Kirsten Dunst, Lili Reinhart, Kiernan Shipka, January Jones, and Yalitza Aparicio are just a few of the celebrities who are the stars of their latest collection.
“As we’ve become more confident and comfortable in our design voice and really seeing what our personality is within the design world, it’s been really nice to think artistically about creating a world behind each collection. We wanted to create painted portraits. In the end the images have that quality, not knowing whether or not someone has been painted or photographed.”- Laura told Vogue.
The Mulleavy duo stuck to their recognizable romantic vibes and they featured feminine prints, frills, bows, pearls, and sequins. Rodarte is a brand that focuses on making women feel comfortable in their skin while they’re wearing the most surreal dresses.
The star-studded cast posed in front of the lense of Daria Kobayashi Ritch. This year the two sisters decided to set up appointments in New York City, to escape the traditional runway show.
