]]>Lively announced the launch of Blake Brown in a social media post where she described her hair as her “most identifiable part”, and said it’s inspired by her own hair-care journey.
“Like any relationship, it’s healthiest when you take good care of each other. To love it well, I’ve found a system that has worked wonders for me, a hack of sorts through decades of working with the very best people in the industry, and silly amounts of trial and error,” she explained.
Blake Brown was seven years in the making, and there’s a reason why it took so long for this brand to see the light of day. Lively wanted it to be vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without sulfates, silicones, parabens, and synthetic dyes, while also being as affordable as possible and having a scent that feels like fragrance.
Lively’s hair-care brand was named after her father, Ernie Brown, and the first drop will include eight products. They’ll be available at select Target stores on August 4, before dropping online on BlakeBrownBeauty.com on August 5.

]]>The Empire star previously discussed her endeavor with People, and said she wanted to provide her customers with “luxury at an affordable price point.” She decided to create this line after realizing her scalp wasn’t being properly cared for while she wore it in protective styles.
“Women think that just because you have your hair braided up under a weave or wig that you don’t have to [do anything else]. But you have to take care of it. I created applicators that deliver the product to your scalp. It’s not compromised on your fingertips or wasted on your hair,” said Henson.
TPH by Taraji is expected to feature a total of 18 products for different hair types, including straight, wavy and curly. They’ll tackle different aspects of hair care, such as scalp care, cleansing, and repair, and none of them will set you back by more than $15. The entire line will be available at Target stores and the official website on January 29th.
