After mastering the art of adorning nails with offbeat prints, detailed drawings, and show-stopping jewels, Tokyo is moving to something seemingly more minimalist, but equally complex.

The Los Angeles–based manicurist is creating heart-shaped designs, that are taking us back to our school years when we enjoyed hole-punching a paper just for fun. The new nail trend that she put on the map is reminiscent of this technology, and other nail artists are all over it right now.

The good news is that you don’t have to ruin your natural nails to accomplish this look – at least if you visit Britney Tokyo. She uses gel extensions by Aprés Nail to create the adorable heart cutouts, and we can’t wait to see if she’ll start experimenting with some other shapes in the future.

]]> If you’re a huge nail art fan, you’re probably already familiar with Britney Tokyo. Her extravagant designs attracted over 218.000 Instagram followers (including a couple of our favorite celebrities) and she just kick-started another adorable trend – heart-punched nails.

After mastering the art of adorning nails with offbeat prints, detailed drawings, and show-stopping jewels, Tokyo is moving to something seemingly more minimalist, but equally complex.

The Los Angeles–based manicurist is creating heart-shaped designs, that are taking us back to our school years when we enjoyed hole-punching a paper just for fun. The new nail trend that she put on the map is reminiscent of this technology, and other nail artists are all over it right now.

The good news is that you don’t have to ruin your natural nails to accomplish this look – at least if you visit Britney Tokyo. She uses gel extensions by Aprés Nail to create the adorable heart cutouts, and we can’t wait to see if she’ll start experimenting with some other shapes in the future.
