]]>Sir John used the products from his own Lion King collection with Luminess – including both matte and shimmery shades from the eyeshadow palette, coffee brown eyeliner, the sculpting palette, brown lip liner, pounce lipstick, and a cinnamon-tinted lip gloss.
The famous makeup artist described his new collection as a labor of love, and he used Beyoncé’s look in London to truly capture the spirit of the animated classic that inspired it.
“I really wanted to create a nice daytime smoky eye using browns, an antique, champagne gold color like Nala, and a warm gold like Simba. It’s all about strategically placing these colors so that no matter where my client turns, their look is never too shimmery,” revealed Sir John while chatting with People Magazine.

]]>This Disney collection features a total of seven pieces, ranging in price between $50 and $125. You can choose between several charms inspired by the most beloved Lion King characters, but the collection also features one bangle bracelet and lavish gift set.
“Celebrate every iconic scene and moment from the cherished film with these whimsical charms, dangles, bracelets, and rings. Favorite characters like Mufasa, Simba, Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa are available for you to showcase your love for the movie, or share with someone you care about,” reads Pandora’s official statement.
This isn’t the first time this jewelry brand joined forces with Disney. They’ve dropped several collections inspired by the movies this studio released – including Aladdin, Dumbo and Toy Story. Pandora also has an entire collection dedicated to Disney Princesses.

]]>This highly-anticipated collection will be available for purchase on the official Luminess Beauty website on June 15th, before starting to sell at select Ulta locations on July 1st. It will feature a total of eight pieces, including sculpting and eyeshadow pallets, highlighter, tinted lip balm, matte and liquid lipsticks.
In addition to finding guidance in the movie itself, Sir John was also inspired by the warm and rich colors of the African landscapes. He was lucky not to have characters like Snow White and Cinderella limiting his creativity, and simply created a collection around dangerous wild animals.
“I also think women appreciate the grace and beauty of big cats, whether it’s a jaguar, leopard or cheetah. They are so regal and so dangerous, but have a feminine quality that speaks to my clients, who are strong women,” said Sir John.
