]]>The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show served as one of the brand’s biggest promo events over the course of more than two decades before being put on hold in 2018. It became iconic due to its combination of world-class locations, amazing performances, and exclusive lingerie lines worn by Victoria’s Secret Angels.
This event went away for six years as Victoria’s Secret took some time to reinvent its image, but its return is just around the corner. According to Victoria’s Secret’s official statement, their 2024 fashion show “will deliver precisely what our customers have been asking for – the glamour, runway, fashion, fun, wings, entertainment – all through a powerful, modern lens reflecting who [they] are today.”
Cher has been tapped to headline the show and lead the all-female lineup that’s yet to be announced. Tyra Banks will serve as the host of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, taking place on October 15 in Brooklyn, New York. The list of models expected to walk the runway include Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam, Candice Swanepoel, Paloma Elsesser, and Devyn Garcia.

]]>The world’s leading lingerie brand recently announced that they intend to remove the broadcast of their annual runway show from network television.
ABC and CBS have been taking turns broadcasting this show since 2001, but it started suffering from a drop in viewership numbers over the course of the last few years. After reaching a new low in 2018, Victoria’s Secret bosses decided it’s time for the big change.
Les Wexner, CEO of brand’s parent company L Brands, released an official statement explaining their decision. They are currently focusing on evolution and growth, and network television no longer seems as the right fit.
“In 2019 and beyond, we’re focusing on developing exciting and dynamic content and a new kind of event – delivered to our customers on platforms that she’s glued to… and in ways that will push the boundaries of fashion in the global digital age,” stated Wexner.

“Thank you for believing in me. There were times where I let my own thoughts hold me back and it was a hard climb away from those but my family, my team, Ed, and everyone at VS they were always there to support me and uplift me,” wrote young model.
Barbara Palvin made her runway debut in 2010 when she modeled for Prada during Milan Fashion Week. She worked with dozens of major brands in the years to come – including Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, and Vivienne Westwood. She walked in her first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012 and has been dreaming about becoming a permanent Angel ever since.
