Becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel is one of the biggest honors any model could possibly ask for – and Barbara Palvin is one of the people who managed to accomplish this goal. She’s the first Hungarian model to ever become an Angel, after six years of working with the lingerie giant.
Palvin described this honor as “an ultimate career high” and said Victoria’s Secret caught her at the perfect time because she’s finally happy with herself and her body. She announced the news in a sweet Instagram post and expressed gratitude to her 11.2 million followers.
“Thank you for believing in me. There were times where I let my own thoughts hold me back and it was a hard climb away from those but my family, my team, Ed, and everyone at VS they were always there to support me and uplift me,” wrote young model.
Barbara Palvin made her runway debut in 2010 when she modeled for Prada during Milan Fashion Week. She worked with dozens of major brands in the years to come – including Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, and Vivienne Westwood. She walked in her first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012 and has been dreaming about becoming a permanent Angel ever since.
