]]>R.E.M. Beauty’s new collection isn’t only inspired by the new live-action adaption, but the Wicked franchise as a whole. Grande told Vogue that she drew inspiration from the stage show, the movie, and the books, with the packaging combining R.E.M. Beauty shapes with illustrations seen in the original L. Frank Baum novels.
Grande put a lot of effort into this makeup line because she wanted to do it right and create a line of products that feel straight out of the movie. The Ozdust Eyeshadow Palette is the collection’s most magical product, and it includes 12 shades inspired by Elphaba, Glinda, and other iconic characters and moments from the Wicked universe.
R.E.M. Beauty’s new line will also include makeup sets dedicated to the two leading ladies, in addition to undereye masks, lip oils, and glow drops. The limited-edition collection is arriving on the brand’s official website on October 1, before heading to Ulta Beauty in early October.

]]>OPI’s witchy new line features 12 brand-new colors, offering a mix of shimmers, pearls, and crèmes with a glow-in-the-dark effect. They’re inspired by the signature colors worn by Elphaba, Glinda, and Fiyero, while others are direct references to songs and scenes from the movie. In addition to Elphaba’s signature green and Glinda’s pink, OPI’s new line offers nail polishes in shades of purple, blue, and red.
In addition to launching a new collection inspired by Wicked, OPI partnered up with Elphaba herself – Cynthia Erivo. The Oscar-nominated actress became the brand’s new brand ambassador, and she’s the perfect person for the job because she always enjoyed the expressive power of nail art.
“Nail art offers a lovely way to express what I’m feeling, at any particular moment in time. It’s an extension of the story I want to tell and an extension of who I am. With length, or color, or design, you can show people a little bit of who you are,” Erivo said in a statement.
