Teddy Quinlivan is the First Transgender Ambassador of Chanel Beauty

Chanel Beauty is stepping up their game! The brand announced they’ve teamed up with Teddy Quinlivan, a gorgeous transgender model, as their latest ambassador. This is not the first big project for Teddy, so far she’s been blessing the runways for labels such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel.

“My whole life has been a fight. From being bullied at school consistently, kids threatening to kill me and going into graphic detail how they were going to do it, my own father beating me and calling me a fagot, to receiving industry blowback after speaking publicly about being sexually assaulted on the job. This was a victory that made all of that s**t worth it.”- Teddy said in her Instagram post.

You might recognize Teddy Quinlivan from her previous beauty campaigns. She was actually the star of a Louis Vuitton campaign in 2018, appeared in ads for Milk Makeup, Maison Margiela Fragrances, etc. Quinlivan came out as transgender in 2017. After her announcement, the model said she expected to lose a number of jobs, but it turns out this was just the beginning of her bright career. The fact that such a huge label like Chanel is honoring diversity is definitely a big step forward for the whole industry.
