Gray hair is still the trend of 2019 and it’s just getting even more popular as summer rolls in.
Grey hair has been on trend for a while now. It was a major hit last year and the #greyhair hashtag on Instagram is fast approaching 2,000,000 posts. Now, the trend has no sign of slowing down as more celebrities and influencers join the bandwagon.
So how exactly does one go about getting the grey-haired look? The trick is to pre-lighten the hair first, says Little Mix’s hair stylist.
“In order to go grey you have to pre-lighten the hair to a clean white blonde and then tone with a personalized grey mix tone”, stylist Siobhan Jones told Glamour.
“Jade [from Little Mix!] best suits having more of a natural root as she has brown eyes and a warmer skin complexion so I ensured the best suitability by placing the grey tones throughout the mid-lengths and ends of the hair.”
Once you have achieved the look, you will need to work to maintain the color. Only use special color protection shampoo and rinse your hair with cool water.
