The red carpet at this year’s BAFTA was one for the books and it brought many unforgettable looks our way. Several fashion trends emerged during this ceremony and these five ended up stealing the show.

Purple Rain

Purple was one of the trendiest colors at this year’s BAFTAs and the list of celebrities who couldn’t resist its draw included Catherine Zeta-Jones, Viola Davis, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Angela Bassett.

Black and White

White gowns were all the rage at this year’s BAFTAs, getting the seal of approval of Lily James and Naomi Ackie. Black and white outfits were just as popular, with the likes of Kate Middleton, Hayley Atwell, Vera Wang, and Julianne Moore wearing this timeless combo.

Cape Bonanza

Capes are ruling Hollywood these days and they made their way to the BAFTA red carpet. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lashana Lynch, and Viola Davis embraced this trend, but Anya Taylor-Joy’s dramatic caped hoodie convinced us it’s here to stay.

Dramatic Gloves

Hollywood superstars can’t let go of dramatic gloves and everyone from Kate Middleton and Gugu Mbatha-Raw to Sheila Atim and Hong Chau was wearing them at the BAFTAs.

Ruffles & Feathers

Julianne Moore, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Leonie Hanne brought feathers to the red carpet in London, while Florence Pugh gave us one of the best ruffled dresses in recent memory.
