If you still don’t know Ella Hunt’s name, it’s about time to learn it, because she’ll soon be everywhere. She delivered several stunning looks while promoting her new films Horizon: An American Saga and Saturday Night, cementing her reputation as a red carpet star on the rise.
Hunt’s rise to prominence started when she played Sue Gilbert in the Apple TV+ series Dickinson, opposite Hailee Steinfeld as Emily Dickinson. She appeared in several films along the way, including Lady Chatterley’s Lover, but her star really started to rise this year, when we saw her attend several major film festivals, everywhere from Cannes to Toronto.
She enjoyed experimenting with fashion long before that, describing herself as a chameleon in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She’s been working with celebrity stylist Sarah Slutsky Tooley for quite some time, who inspired her to embrace a playful approach to fashion.
“We’ve worked together for five years now so, at this point, she can read my mind, knows my tastes, and has a good sense of when I want something different or a change. It’s lovely to work with someone who is able to translate my taste into outfits that I feel great in,” Hunt told Harper’s Bazaar.
Hunt gave us several amazing outfits this spring and summer, including her see-through Fendi cape dress from Cannes, the golden cutout Celine gown from the Horizon premiere in LA, and the floral Danielle Frankel dress from Toronto – and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
