Selena Gomez’s brand Rare Beauty put an emphasis on the importance of mental health since its launch, and they’ll mark the Mental Healthy Day in style. 100% of the brand’s proceeds on October 10 will go towards the Rare Impact Fund, the non-profit mental health charity created with young people in mind.
Gomez launched her brand Rare Beauty in 2020, along with the mental health charity the Rare Impact Fund. It was created with a mission to raise $100 million for youth mental health services and education, and a portion of Rare Beauty’s profit over the years has been donated to the fund.
Gomez now made a commitment to celebrate World Mental Health Day by donating 100% of Rare Beauty’s sales on October 10 to the fund. Rare Beauty products sold at Sephora and Kohl’s will be included in this campaign, and they can be bought in-store and online in 27 markets.
Sephora’s president and CEO Guillaume Motte described this campaign as a perfect illustration of how beauty can make a difference and another demonstration of Rare Beauty’s commitment to mental health.
“At Sephora, we are driven by our purpose to champion a world of inspiration and inclusion where everyone can celebrate their beauty, and we are proud to have built a community of committed brands that share this vision and act upon their values,” said Motte in a statement.
