You know when you’re 19 and someone ‘old’ (45) says something ridiculous about music (like when my mum was trying to describe Daft Punk to me and called them ‘Funky Plastic’) and you’re like never will I ever become someone THAT boring and ancient where I won’t be able to keep abreast of important music matters, the tracks pushing through the roots before it hits the ears of naff Oceanas 6 months down the line, remixes, DJs. Well fast forward to now and I legit have no clue what The Global Awards are but apparently everyone and their next door neighbour’s there so, fantastic. I hope Funky Plastic are playing a blinding set. And FYI I still hit up Spotify every darn day for new beats so I’m not a lost cause yet (yet).
