American fashion designer and previous J.Crew Creative Director and President, Jenna Lyons decided to tidy up her wardrobe. After 27 amazing years, she left the company last year in April. “I have lived and breathed clothes for the past 31 years: four of them in college, twenty-seven with J.Crew and Madewell. I love clothes. I’ve collected for a long time,” she says.

“Each piece represents a memory, an event marked. I found myself holding on to the clothes for the meaning and not spending enough time actually wearing them. My body has changed, my mind has changed, and it seemed that this was a good time in my life, as I think about next steps, to let someone else love them.” She continued.

She got quite a lot of valuable pieces in her closet within those years. Now you can shop her desirable clothes going on sale at TheRealReal which she put 187 pieces. A lot of them are J.Crew items and designer items like the powder pink Miu Miu coat and the red Prada gown.

A friend of hers came over and got astonished seeing her closet. She gave her the idea of selling the clothes. “Then there is the simple fact that my dear friend Sarah Clary came over, opened her eyes wide and burst into hysterical laughter. Then she muttered ‘Gurl, you got to sell some of this s**t.’ Thanks Sarah. I love you so much.” Says Lyons.
