The young model accepted his invitation to create a capsule collection together, and the fruits of their labor are finally here.
“Karl Lagerfeld X Kaia” spans ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear, sunglasses and jewelry. It does an amazing job at mixing fashion sensibilities of these two individuals. It combines Lagerfeld’s timeless, Parisian chic aesthetic and Gerber’s confident vision and carefree Malibu style. The head of Chanel wanted to work with Cindy Crawford’s daughter because he finds her youthful and independent spirit extremely inspiring.
Kaia Gerber also had a blast co-designing a capsule collection with this fashion legend. Model-of-the-moment described working with Karl Lagerfeld as a dream come true and said she loved every minute of it.
“I’ve always thought that he’s a genius, so it’s amazing that he’s shown me some of his trade. It has given me a new appreciation for how hard designers work, and how much creativity and thought goes into every collection,” explained Gerber.
