You might think sneakers are seeing all the action this year, but there’s a new trend gaining major traction. Lace-ups have shown up all over the runways for this year, from sandals to pumps, and even booties.

Chloe and Emporio Armani led the trend, with Chloe opting for loads of dark-colored peep-toe booties. With so many laces, we wonder how long it would take us to lace them up! Armani was more restrained with the laces at the back, making them easier to tie up.

For Fall, laces were still all over the runways on everything from mules to pumps. Mary Katrantzou showed another side to her talent, this time avoiding graphic prints and going with neutral, pretty, pointy lace-ups.

Negris LeBrum, on the other hand, offered a black cross-laced pair that you could team with anything.

Jason Wu’s lace-up pumps came in an eye-popping variety of colors, including dusty rose, camel, yellow, red, blue, and white. Jonathan Simkhai’s rust-colored beauties had everyone drooling for velvet.
