Safe Tips For Removing Acrylic Nails at Home

Acrylic nails are a true life-saver when it comes to having a neat manicure. You can have your nails done and pretty for three to four weeks without even doing a thing. The only problem appears when you want to remove acrylic nails. Yes, you can do it at home and still be safe with this basic method.

Materials:

  • cotton pads
  • aluminum foil
  • acetone
  • nail file

How To:

  1. If you don’t want to keep the length of the nails, clip them before you start.
  2. Next, file as much as you can from the acrylic.
  3. Soak the cotton pads with acetone and place one on each nail.
  4. Then, wrap the tips of the fingers in aluminum foil, making sure that the cotton pads are covered. Leave them on for half an hour.
  5. When the time is done, remove the aluminum foil while sliding it over the nail with gentle pressure. That way you’ll know if the acrylic is softer and ready to be taken off.
  6. You can file whatever’s left on the nails.
