]]> The red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival is just getting better as the years go by, and it was more dazzling than ever this time around. From Jennifer Lawrence to Natalie Portman, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars headed to the French Rivera this month and delivered show-stopping looks along the way.

The red carpet in Cannes delivered a healthy dose of black and white gowns, but it was all about vibrant colors this time around. The stars in attendance took the words “red carpet” quite literally and stole the show in fiery red gowns, but it was also a time for orange and yellow dresses to shine in the spotlight.

The Cannes Film Festival brought back some of the biggest red carpet trends of the past few months. Capes, gloves, and feathers were all the rage this year, and cutout dresses returned in style, bringing some edge to the red carpet.

When it comes to emerging trends, exposed bras are definitely the biggest new craze to take the fashion world by storm in Cannes. We’ve seen Elsa Hosk, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Scarlett Johansson give this trend their seal of approval, and we’re expecting the rest of Hollywood to follow suit.

Balenciaga, Givenchy, and Alexander McQueen featured suits in all types of materials and cuts – modern takes on the timelessly classic silhouette. Showing us how to take the look off the runway into everyday fashion is Gigi Hadid, with a particularly trendy and breezy version. 

The supermodel stepped in Manhattan a couple of weeks ago in a blue and white tie-dyed ensemble from Oscar de la Renta’s Resort 2020 collection: the linen suit was blue and white ombréd and paired with a matching undershirt to really complete the look. Hadid finished off the outfit with pointy-toed white cowboy boots, oval glasses with violet lenses, and an itty-bitty mini bag in a coordinating blue ombré. The overall look was ultra-90s inspired, while staying perfectly modern by touching on summer’s tie-dye trend. Take a page out of Hadid’s book if you’re searching for a look that packs a boardroom power punch, but is casual enough to take you from work to play.

And, of course, Hadid’s makeup (by the very talented Patrick Ta) was done to match her outfit: her eyelids sparkled with coordinating copper tones, her cheeks shimmered with highlight, and even her lips got in on the amber action.

What’s our takeaway here? That if you’re going to match your makeup to your clothes, you better look like Gigi Hadid. Just kidding. But, if this is a look that you want to try, take care to do it in a way that coordinates, but doesn’t look too overdone. (Notice that Ta did not match Hadid’s makeup to the green jacket or paint plaid on her eyelids.)

]]> Burberry’s debut “Monogram” collection is here, and it found the perfect model to present it to the world.

Gigi Hadid stars in the latest campaign for this British fashion house, shortly after walking in one of their shows for the first time.

This campaign is a brainchild of the brand’s chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci, and it sees Hadid morphing into several characters, as a way of representing Burberry’s versatility.

“I have always loved and respected Riccardo’s work, and I feel so honored and grateful that he trusted me with this project. The second I heard the creatives for this shoot, I understood how I wanted to bring that to life and show different sides of myself through each character,” said Hadid in an interview with British Vogue.

This campaign marks the launch of the brand’s monogram collection, and it sees the new logo featured on a series of items, including bomber jackets, track pants, and tote bags. The symbol was inspired by the handwriting of Thomas Burberry, who founded this fashion house.

“When I saw an image of his initials, the design felt so special and actually very modern, so I quickly developed it into a new code for the house. It’s a symbol that not only embraces Burberry’s heritage but also feels very contemporary,” explained Riccardo Tisci in a statement.

Jenner came on top after earning $22.5 million. She scored her career-best in 2018 thanks to contracts with several popular brands, including Estée Lauder, Adidas, and Calvin Klein. She also received hefty paychecks thanks to numerous social media endorsements and involvement with the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Former Victoria’s Secret Angel Karlie Kloss was right behind, while Chrissy Teigen and Rosie Huntington-Whitely shared the third spot after earning $11.5 million each.

]]> Bold patterns, delightful prints and playful colors – these are only some of the amazing things we’re getting from H&M latest collaboration with fashion house Moschino. Creative director Jeremy Scott came up with this exciting new collection, and it’s the perfect embodiment of his wild spirit.

Gigi Hadid, Stella Maxwell, and Imaan Hammam are some of the famous faces who accepted his invitation to present this bold new line to the world. H&M officials felt Scott will be the right fit for this ground-breaking new collaboration because they looked for someone energetic, positive, optimistic – and capable of making a statement.

Creative director of Moschino described this collaboration as “very prestigious honor” and “a huge deal”. Despite having their own opinions and visions, teams of these two fashion houses worked side by side to come up with something extraordinary.

“Everything H&M does, it just aligns with me. I am ‘the people’s designer’, after all. That’s a title that’s been bestowed on me; I think because I believe in the democratization of fashion, and I’ve found many different ways to reach people,” explained Scott.

The supermodel showed up to her sister Bella’s 23rd birthday celebration wearing a curve-hugging plaid bustier and pants set from Charlotte Knowles underneath a grey-green coat, layered with gold jewelry. And, of course, Hadid’s makeup (by the very talented Patrick Ta) was done to match her outfit: her eyelids sparkled with coordinating copper tones, her cheeks shimmered with highlight, and even her lips got in on the amber action.

What’s our takeaway here? That if you’re going to match your makeup to your clothes, you better look like Gigi Hadid. Just kidding. But, if this is a look that you want to try, take care to do it in a way that coordinates, but doesn’t look too overdone. (Notice that Ta did not match Hadid’s makeup to the green jacket or paint plaid on her eyelids.)

]]> Burberry’s debut “Monogram” collection is here, and it found the perfect model to present it to the world.

Gigi Hadid stars in the latest campaign for this British fashion house, shortly after walking in one of their shows for the first time.

This campaign is a brainchild of the brand’s chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci, and it sees Hadid morphing into several characters, as a way of representing Burberry’s versatility.

“I have always loved and respected Riccardo’s work, and I feel so honored and grateful that he trusted me with this project. The second I heard the creatives for this shoot, I understood how I wanted to bring that to life and show different sides of myself through each character,” said Hadid in an interview with British Vogue.

This campaign marks the launch of the brand’s monogram collection, and it sees the new logo featured on a series of items, including bomber jackets, track pants, and tote bags. The symbol was inspired by the handwriting of Thomas Burberry, who founded this fashion house.

“When I saw an image of his initials, the design felt so special and actually very modern, so I quickly developed it into a new code for the house. It’s a symbol that not only embraces Burberry’s heritage but also feels very contemporary,” explained Riccardo Tisci in a statement.

Jenner came on top after earning $22.5 million. She scored her career-best in 2018 thanks to contracts with several popular brands, including Estée Lauder, Adidas, and Calvin Klein. She also received hefty paychecks thanks to numerous social media endorsements and involvement with the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Former Victoria’s Secret Angel Karlie Kloss was right behind, while Chrissy Teigen and Rosie Huntington-Whitely shared the third spot after earning $11.5 million each.

]]> Bold patterns, delightful prints and playful colors – these are only some of the amazing things we’re getting from H&M latest collaboration with fashion house Moschino. Creative director Jeremy Scott came up with this exciting new collection, and it’s the perfect embodiment of his wild spirit.

Gigi Hadid, Stella Maxwell, and Imaan Hammam are some of the famous faces who accepted his invitation to present this bold new line to the world. H&M officials felt Scott will be the right fit for this ground-breaking new collaboration because they looked for someone energetic, positive, optimistic – and capable of making a statement.

Creative director of Moschino described this collaboration as “very prestigious honor” and “a huge deal”. Despite having their own opinions and visions, teams of these two fashion houses worked side by side to come up with something extraordinary.

“Everything H&M does, it just aligns with me. I am ‘the people’s designer’, after all. That’s a title that’s been bestowed on me; I think because I believe in the democratization of fashion, and I’ve found many different ways to reach people,” explained Scott.
