]]>The Great Impersonator is hitting the shelves on October 25, and Halsey described the character at its center as “not just a master of disguise but a spirit of transformation”, who’s capable of becoming anyone and anything your heart desires while slipping between the cracks of reality.
She lived up to this description in the promo for her new record, which sees her paying homage to everyone from Dolly Parton and Kate Bush to David Bowie and Amy Lee of Evanescence. She decided to create a series of makeup looks inspired by the iconic photos of these artists, and her uncanny resemblance to these icons blew everyone’s mind.
You can find many incredible makeup looks on Halsey’s Instagram page, and the most impressive thing about them is that she’s a makeup artist behind each one. She worked with a team of costume designers, stylists, hair stylists, and photographers to craft each look, using the makeup of her own brand About Face Beauty.

]]>After a lot of teasing on social media, About Beauty finally went live on January 25th, and all the products are available for purchase here. According to the official press release, this brand is “built on the truth that no one is just one thing—humans are weird, complex, and entirely beautiful because of it.”
Halsey told Byrdie that she wanted to use her makeup line to pay homage to the makeup influences that she’s always loved, and described the vibe of her first drop as “very ’90s-heavy, very Myspace scene queen, very emo revival.”
When it comes to individual products, you can pick between matte fluid eye paint and shadow sticks for eyes, lip glosses, lip-liners and lip colors for lips, and liquid highlighters, pressed powder, and shimmer sticks for face makeup.
The “Anti-Valentine’s Day” collection is already on the way and it’s hitting the shelves in early February.

]]>ModCloth wanted to collaborate with stars who do things their own way when it comes to their art, fashion, and life. They found exactly what they were looking for in pop star Halsey, entertainer Akwafina, actress Dascha Polanco and model Hari Nef.
Each of these women appeared in ModCloth’s short film which is here to promote their new line “Against the Current”. This visual sees them battling four natural elements, and coming out stronger in the end.
“The elements, fire, air, earth, and water, serve as visual metaphors for all the challenges — big and small, overt and subtle — that our women encounter in their lives. Our heroines triumph over these elemental forces, one by one, and the effect is life-changing,” reads the official statement by ModCloth.
If you’re looking for a way to go against the current, this new collection is already available on ModCloth’s official website. It features dresses, tops and jumpsuits worn by the stars of this powerful campaign.
