Speaking of leather, trench coats made with faux leather have been trending since last year, and they’re not going anywhere.
Trench coats in darker shades will be a huge hit, even if they’re not made of leather, and you’ll love them if you’re not a fan of the classic camel color.
When it comes to fits, oversized coats will be going stronger than ever this season. If you don’t already have one in your closet, it’s time to look for a model that suits you.
If you’re in the mood to make a statement with your jacket or coat, look for one with an animal print that you can easily combine with the rest of your wardrobe.

]]>H&M’s decided to try the clothing rental services at their flagship store in Stockholm and for just $37 a week, you can choose between 50 clothing items to rent. The trial services will launch for three months before the company decides if they want to expand it to other locations. You must be a member of H&M’s loyalty program to benefit from the rental services.
Making the change to sustainability isn’t easy as many eco-friendly brands have exorbitant price tags, which turns many people off. Fast-fashion has its drawbacks as its bad for the environment and the workers are underpaid, but it’s just so much cheaper and there are so many options available.
This isn’t H&M’s first attempt at smarter shopping, they previously released their Consciousness collection which uses sustainable materials like orange peels and pineapple for their clothing.
“We have a huge belief in rental, but we still want to test and learn quite a lot and do tweaks and changes,” Daniel Claesson, H&M’s head of business development said.

]]>Allan’s daughter, Cate Allan, relaunched the brand in 2014 wanting to bring back her father’s legacy and introduce his flamboyant style to a new generation. “The 1960s offered this opportunity for new and innovative ideas in fashion, and it broke the mold in terms of pre-war perception. London became a hotbed of radical thinking, where the future was a new land, not a shadow of the past. Where so much had been destroyed, there was a blank canvas on which to paint a better future. It was an explosion of ideas, of color, and design. I do think that’s why it resonates, why it was so powerful,” she said in an interview published on H&M’s website.
Richard Allan is a brand best known for its colorful scarves. In Cate’s opinion, a scarf is so much more than just an accessory. She believes it’s a versatile object that can be tied and worn in many different ways, which is why they focus on it.
The collection will be available in H&M stores and online starting August 22.
