]]>Turner-Smith’s fashion game has been on point ever since she became one of Gucci’s latest ambassadors, but she took things to a whole new level with this dazzling pink column gown with detached feathered sleeves.
Feathered sleeves were all the rage at LACMA Art+Film Gala, and tennis icon Serena Williams embraced this trend with her classy black gown with a strapless bodice, silky waist, and velvet skirt.
Male celebrities also fully embraced this trend, and Lil Nas X was leading the way. The “Montero” singer is no stranger to experimenting with fashion, and this yellow Gucci suit perfectly suited his signature style.
Leto followed in Lil Nas X’s footsteps and hit the red carpet in a white Gucci suit that simply wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t for the eye-catching pink feathered sleeves (scroll to pic no. 2).

]]>Gucci’s approach consists of two main strategies – “avoid and reduce” and “restore and offset.” The first one will see the brand using renewable energy, upcycling leather and fabric waste, and exchanging traditional processing techniques for their sustainable alternatives.
When it comes to the second phase of Gucci’s plan, they intend to support conservation efforts. Despite the fact they won’t fully stop producing harmful emissions, Gucci will financially compensate for the carbon it produces and they will make donations towards sustainability programs.
Gucci will present its first carbon-neutral runway at Milan Fashion Week later this month where they plan to offset travel emissions of 1.000 guests and 900 workers, including models, production staff, and Gucci employees. They’ll also use recycled wood for the set and send out Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper invites to their A-list guests in the front row.

]]>According to TheRealReal (online second-hand goods retailer), in the first half of 2019, searches for “mini bags” increased 544% over previous years. That’s huge! Some of the most desired shrunken items include Gucci’s mini suede Dionysus purse, Jacquemus’ Le Chiquito bag, Chloé’s C bag, Prada’s Sidonie shoulder bag, and Louis Vuitton’s Palm Springs and Lockme mini backpacks.
Why the trend toward smaller and smaller bags? Either the universe is playing a prank on those of us who like to be both stylish and practical or, it’s just another case of “cuter is better.” Whatever the cause, we’re not necessarily for or against it, as long as the bag is still big enough for the essentials: phone, wallet, keys, chapstick. Boom.

These sneakers are not only made of high-quality leather and come in a neutral color, but their limited edition status means that second-hand pairs can go for 570% more than their original price!

]]>Since going solo, Styles has been stepping out in crazy patterns and androgynous outfits, but recently the singer revealed his true passion for fashion while discussing his ad campaign for Gucci’s new fragrance. Styles shared his love for the brand’s Mémoire d’une Odeur, and divulged that trying new things fashion-wise has become an outlet for his personal expression.
Styles told Dazed that he “love[s] the clothes. That helps a lot. Just going on stage in a nuts suit with a bunch of sequins makes you feel good, and then you want to play.” He went on to detail how important he believes fashion is for an onstage persona, saying, “I think [for] the people I have always admired and looked up to in music, clothes have always been a big part of the thing.”
Similar to his taste in clothing, Styles prefers a gender-fluid fragrance like the new Gucci. The crooner also said he loved working on the campaign because “everyone is open to be themselves and it’s made me feel more comfortable to try different things and have a bit more fun.”

]]>Though it has some advantages, it’s definitely not for everyone and you shouldn’t feel bad if you didn’t really want to embrace it when it was the top trend.
The times have changed and a new set of rules applies today. In 2019, there are more eclectic and maximalist brands than ever before. The new collections promote bright colors and the use of accessories that you can mix and match however you like.
One of the biggest supporters of maximalism is Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele. Michele’s approach challenges the aesthetic promoted by minimalists like Céline and it has an army of fans ready to wear any bright color and pattern Michele throws at them. Many high-end and high-street brands share this philosophy and offer colorful collections that look really amazing.
Be bold and wear whatever you want this summer, but always choose the items that make you feel great as that’s all that matters anyway.

“The bold color palette speaks to the eccentric and free-spirited mood of the house’s collections – an unconfined and unlimited form of self-expression – with each lipstick encased within precious gold-toned packaging etched with an intricately engraved design,” reads the brand’s official description of the new collection.
Gucci launched its makeup collection in 2014, and it used to feature everything from lipstick and eyeshadow to foundation and blush. Unfortunately, their beauty line fell off the radar, but Alessandro Michele decided to bring it back and he intends to make it bigger and better than ever.
